(Coniston and Ambleside)

Wandering Boots provides guided walks for every level of walker. From the short ramble through a secluded valley with cascading streams to a more demanding walk on some of the highest peaks in Cumbria. With Wandering Boots you can escape the tourist traps and experience breathtaking panoramic views.

We operate throughout the year, which allows you to experience an ever-changing colourful landscape ranging from the blossoming colours of spring, the lush green colours in summer to the golden colours of autumn and snow-topped mountains in winter.

Our experienced guides have years of experience and will personally look after you. There’s no need to worry about travel arrangements because we can transport you to and from each walk.

As well as group bookings we also provide tailored walks to suit the individual so whatever your requirements whether it’s a one day high-level walk or a gentle low level stroll then feel free to call and discuss it with us.

The Cumbria Way
This is a well-loved 70 mile route through the heart of the Lake District National Park, linking the two historic Cumbrian towns of Ulverston and Carlisle. The route cuts through classic Lakeland country via Langdale, Borrowdale, Coniston, Derwent Water and Caldbeck. Largely through the valleys, this tour also touches upon a few sections of high, exposed ground. A Wandering Boots speciality, this tour is a beautiful introduction to Cumbria and the Lake District.
